Greg Brown's testimony at the Statehouse gave the impression he was speaking for the CCS board. He wasn't.

During his tenure on the CCS board, Greg Brown has testified at least four times in front of the Indiana General Assembly. When a board member testifies or otherwise speaks publicly, they’re supposed to make it clear that they’re not speaking on behalf of the board. Greg Brown claims he did this. Judge for yourself.

Personally, I would say he only provided the necessary clarity in the last of those instances.

Also, if my understanding of the timeline is correct, following Greg Brown’s initial testimony, the board scheduled an executive session for training on members roles as public officials on February 8. That would seem to indicate that Greg Brown blatantly failed to make the required disclosure at least once after receiving explicit direction on his responsibilities.

If not Carmel Excellence, then who?

If you're proud to live in one of the top school districts in the state...

If you appreciate and support our teachers...

If your kids have benefited or are benefiting from a world-class CCS education...

If you want our schools to stay welcoming to all students and their families...

I hope you'll join me in opposing Carmel Excellence and voting for Jon Shapiro and Kris Wheeler
