Greg Brown's responsibility is to represent CCS. Instead, he spoke in favor of an entity suing the district.

In case you missed the page on Valor’s lawsuit against CCS and Dina Ferchmin’s support of that organization, basically, a group trying to start a charter school sued CCS to seize taxpayer-funded CCS property despite the fact that even no-friend-of-CCS Todd Rokita had already issued a finding that CCS was in compliance with Indiana's charter-friendly $1 law.

And here’s board member Greg Brown speaking favorably of the organization, even as it was engaged in a lawsuit against the district he is supposed to be representing.

First, it’s worth noting that Greg Brown seems not to know that board members are obligated to represent the interests of CCS, not private entities suing the district.

Beyond that, he seems to be extremely ignorant both of what he’s advocating for and of the fact that CCS has a world-class music and performing arts program and also offers in-depth Latin courses for students who wish to take them.

If not Carmel Excellence, then who?

If you're proud to live in one of the top school districts in the state...

If you appreciate and support our teachers...

If your kids have benefited or are benefiting from a world-class CCS education...

If you want our schools to stay welcoming to all students and their families...

I hope you'll join me in opposing Carmel Excellence and voting for Jon Shapiro and Kris Wheeler
